Favero Assioma – First‑Time Activation & Calibration Guide

This guide provides step‑by‑step instructions for first‑time users to activate, configure, and calibrate their Favero Assioma pedals using the Favero Assioma mobile app. It covers account creation, initial sensor activation, firmware updates, crank‑length setup, and calibration procedures to ensure accurate and reliable power measurement from the very first ride.

Step 1 – Install the App & Prepare the Pedals

  1. Install the Favero Assioma app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  3. Wake the pedals by spinning the cranks or pressing the pedal body.
  4. Confirm the LEDs blink briefly, indicating the sensors are awake.

Step 2 – Create Your Assioma Account & Log In

  1. Open the Favero Assioma app.
  2. Select Create Account.
  3. Enter your details and complete the registration.
  4. Log in with your new Assioma account credentials.

Once logged in, the app will display two options:

  • I have a new Assioma
  • My Assioma is already active

For first‑time setup, select:

    “I have a new Assioma”

The app will begin searching for Bluetooth devices.

Step 3 – Connect to the Pedals

  1. The left and right sensors (DUO) or the single sensor (UNO) will appear on screen.
  2. Select the sensor(s) to begin activation.

During first‑time activation, the app may prompt you to:

  • Perform a firmware update
  • Complete initial activation
  • Confirm serial numbers
  • Accept terms and conditions

Follow all on‑screen prompts and allow each process to finish completely.

Step 4 – Firmware Update / Activation Process

The app will guide you through:

  • Updating firmware
  • Activating the sensors
  • Syncing the sensors with your Assioma account
  • Completing initial configuration

Ensure:

  • The pedals are sufficiently charged
  • The phone stays close to the pedals
  • Bluetooth remains enabled
  • You do not close the app during updates

Step 5 – Set Crank Length

Before calibration, set the correct crank length:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Enter your crank length (e.g., 170 mm, 172.5 mm, 175 mm).
  3. Save the setting.

This step is essential for accurate power measurement.

Step 6 – Manual Calibrations (Zero‑Offset)

Once activation and firmware updates are complete:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Perform three manual calibrations.
  3. Ensure:
    • No load is applied to the pedals
    • The bike is completely still
    • Cranks are horizontal or vertical

Your pedals are now ready for use.

Step 7 – DUO Users: If Only the Left Sensor Appears

If you have Assioma DUO and the app only shows the left sensor, complete the pairing inside the Favero Assioma app:

Restore DUO pairing:

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Select Convert from Single to Double.
  3. Follow the on‑screen prompts.
  4. The app will search for the right‑hand sensor.
  5. Select it when it appears.
  6. Complete the process.

After conversion:

  • Return to Settings
  • Perform three manual calibrations again

This ensures both sensors are correctly paired and synchronized.
